Stick Man, the much‑loved stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s bestselling picture book, will return to London this winter for its 15th annual festive season while also opening in Sheffield for the first time.

Presented by Freckle Productions, the show will run simultaneously at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London and at The Montgomery in Sheffield throughout December 2026.

The London season takes place from 3 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, with a press performance scheduled for 5 December at 1pm.

Sheffield audiences can enjoy the production from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, with a press performance on 9 December at 1.15pm.

Tickets for London are on sale now, with Sheffield tickets opening to members on 7 March and general sale on 14 March.

Based on the story of Stick Man’s misadventures as he tries to return home to his family tree, the production features live music, puppetry and plenty of festive fun.

Executive producer Jennifer Sutherland said: “We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating Stick Man’s 15th festive season in London. What began as a joyful stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved story has grown into a treasured Christmas tradition for thousands of families. To mark this milestone by also bringing the show to Sheffield for its first festive season there makes it even more special.”

The show is directed by Mark Kane, with original direction by Sally Cookson. Designers Katie Sykes, Elanor Higgins, Benji Bower and Brian Hargreaves lead the creative team.

Casting for both cities will be announced later this year.
