The Olivier-nominated international sensation The Choir of Man has announced a brand-new Happy Hour experience at London’s Arts Theatre.
Running for four weeks from Thursday 24 July, Happy Hour invites audiences to enjoy 20% off drinks at the bar and live music from 5.30pm to 6.30pm in the theatre foyer.
The event will feature performances from the West End cast and special guests, kicking off with The Choir of Man’s own Rob Godfrey, who plays ‘Beast’, performing an acoustic guitar set on the opening night.
On 31 July, Happy Hour will team up with London’s favourite musical theatre bar, The Room Where It Happens, for a special collaborative event.
More acts are set to be announced via the show’s official social media channels.
Nic Doodson, speaking on behalf of the producers, said:
“We’re thrilled to offer this new Happy Hour experience for our audiences at the Arts. It’s a great way to connect, enjoy a drink and enjoy some live music before the show starts. We’re looking forward to sharing more summer evenings of music, joy and community in the heart.”
The Choir of Man is a feel-good celebration of community and friendship, featuring a cast of nine who blend harmonies, tap dance, and spoken word with hits from Queen, Adele, Sia, and more.
The show originally opened at the Arts Theatre in October 2021 and has since welcomed over 280,000 audience members across more than 1,000 performances.
Following international success, including sold-out seasons at the Sydney Opera House and tours across the US and Europe, The Choir of Man returned to the Arts Theatre in October 2022 and continues to play to packed houses.
The current cast includes David Booth, Jason Brock, Tom Carter-Miles, Toby Francis, Rob Godfrey, Ifan Gwilym-Jones, Oliver Jacobson, George Knapper, Benji Lord, Alex Mallalieu, Paul McArthur, David Shute, and Bradley Walwyn.
The Choir of Man is created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, with direction by Nic Doodson and musical supervision by Jack Blume. The creative team also includes Ben Norris (monologues), Freddie Huddleston (choreography), and Oli Townsend (scenic design), among others.
