Disney Theatrical Group has announced dates and on-sale details for the world premiere of The Greatest Showman The Musical, which will open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on 5 May 2027, with previews from 14 April.

Based on the 2017 hit film, the stage adaptation features songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a book by Tim Federle, and is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw.

Booking opens first to priority bookers on 3 November, with public booking opening at 12pm GMT on 18 November. The initial booking period runs until 2 October 2027.

The production will star Oliver Tompsett, Samantha Barks, Ben Joyce, Vajèn van den Bosch and Malinda Parris, with further casting to be announced.

The musical will feature fan favourites including “The Greatest Show”, “A Million Dreams”, “Come Alive”, “Rewrite the Stars”, “Never Enough” and “This Is Me”, alongside new songs written especially for the stage production by Pasek and Paul.

Based on the 20th Century Studios film, with story by Jenny Bicks, the production marks the first adaptation of a 20th Century Studios title for the stage by Disney Theatrical Group.

The creative team includes music supervision, incidental and dance music arrangements and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by George Reeve, circus creation and design by Lorenzo Pisoni, hair and wig design by Josh Marquette, make-up design by Milagros Medina-Cerdeira, special effects design by Jeremy Chernick and illusions and magic design by Skylar Fox.

The musical tells the story of a restless dreamer determined to create the greatest show on earth, bringing together outsiders and trailblazers in a celebration of ambition, belonging and imagination.

Featuring the songs that became a global phenomenon and a newly expanded stage story, The Greatest Showman The Musical will make its debut at one of the West End’s most iconic venues.
