To mark the 20th anniversary of Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief, the stage adaptation The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical has revealed its full cast ahead of its first-ever UK tour.
Leading the charge as Percy Jackson is Vasco Emauz (Back To The Future: The Musical), joined by Kayna Montecillo (Starlight Express) as Annabeth and Cahir O’Neill ([title of show]) as Grover.
They’ll be joined by Simone Robinson (Coming to England) as Sally Jackson, Niall Sheehy (Miss Saigon) as Mr Bruner, and Aidan Cutler (Back to the Future: The Musical) as Mr D.
Ellie-Grace Cousins (Mamma Mia!) takes on the role of Clarisse, with Paolo Micallef, cast via open auditions, as Luke.
The ensemble includes Alex Anderton, Abe Armitage, Joseph Connor, Ellouise Delooze, Becca Francis, and Amy McEvoy, with several making their professional stage debuts.
The UK tour kicks off at Theatre Royal Windsor from 15–23 August 2025, before heading to major cities including Newcastle, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Brighton, and Birmingham, with more dates to be announced into 2026.
Based on the bestselling novel, the musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers he’s the half-blood son of Poseidon and is thrust into a world of gods, monsters, and epic quests.
The show features a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs), and is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day).
Design is by Ryan Dawson Laight, with lighting by Tim Deiling, sound by Dan Samson, and video by Matt Powell. Musical supervision is by Jeremy Wootton, with musical direction by Will Joy.
Illusions are by Richard Pinner, fight direction by Lisa Connell, and associate direction and choreography by Libby Watts. Christophe Eynde joins as associate set and costume designer.
