Spotlight, the UK’s leading platform for professional performers, has announced the launch of its inaugural event, The Spotlight Conference, taking place in London on Tuesday 21st October 2025.

The one-day conference will bring together performers, agents, and casting professionals to explore the current state and future of the performing arts industry.

With the theme Shaping the Future of Talent Discovery, the conference will guide attendees through the evolution of the industry, from its foundations to the challenges of today, and into a collaborative vision for the future.

Key topics on the agenda include the role of AI in casting, the ongoing conversation around Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI), and how digital media is reshaping an artist’s brand and legacy.

Matt Hood, Managing Director at Spotlight, said:
“We believe that a successful future for our industry depends on collaboration. There are many issues facing our sector and it is vital that we come together to inform and shape those discussions. For far too long, performers have been an afterthought in policy. We hope to change that here.”

A central aim of The Spotlight Conference is to bridge the communication gap between performers, agents, and casting directors. The event will foster transparency and open dialogue across all areas of the industry.

To support accessibility, Spotlight’s ticketing partners Narrow Road and InterTalent have pre-purchased 60 tickets to be made available free of charge to performers. These can be applied for via the Spotlight account homepage.

The full programme will be announced on 23rd September, with general ticket sales for agents and casting professionals also opening on that date at 11am.
