The Olivier Award nominated stage production of The Tiger Who Came to Tea will return to the West End this summer, playing at Theatre Royal Haymarket from Monday 22 June to Saturday 5 September 2026.

Back by popular demand, the production marks its twelfth West End season and its sixth consecutive summer at the Haymarket.

Adapted and directed by David Wood OBE, the musical play is based on Judith Kerr’s much-loved picture book, first published in 1968 and now more than 5 million copies strong worldwide.

The story follows Sophie and her mummy, whose quiet afternoon tea is interrupted by an unexpected visitor. What arrives at the door is a big, stripy tiger with an enormous appetite.

Since premiering on stage in 2008, The Tiger Who Came to Tea has enjoyed extensive success across the UK and internationally, including seasons at Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Arts Centre, as well as performances in China, Singapore, Dubai and Bahrain.
