ATG Productions has announced that Tom Rosenthal and Adrian Scarborough will star in the 2027 UK tour of Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, the acclaimed comedy adapted from the works of P.G. Wodehouse by Robert Goodale and David Goodale.
The production, directed by Phillip Breen, will open at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on 29 January 2027 before touring across the UK.
Rosenthal will take on the role of the well-meaning but hopelessly accident-prone Bertie Wooster, while Scarborough will play his famously resourceful valet Jeeves.
Audiences can expect mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, spectacular muddles and a colourful cast of eccentric characters as Wodehouse’s much-loved world is brought to life on stage.
The production promises a blend of impeccable comic timing, inventive theatrical storytelling and quintessentially British humour, with producers describing it as “the theatre comedy event of the year”.
Rosenthal is best known for his television roles as Jonny Goodman in Friday Night Dinner and Marcus Gallo in Plebs. His theatre credits include The Government Inspector at Chichester Festival Theatre, The Philanthropist at Trafalgar Studios and Chicken Soup with Barley at the Royal Court Theatre.
Scarborough is a two-time Olivier Award winner whose screen credits include Gavin & Stacey, The Chelsea Detective, Killing Eve, Doctor Who, Miranda and Sanditon. His film work includes 1917, The King’s Speech, Les Misérables and Gosford Park.
The tour will visit Aylesbury, Manchester, Brighton, Torquay, Richmond, Cambridge, Glasgow, Woking, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham and York.
