She is excited to be taking to the stage for the very first time to play ‘happily unmarried’ Audrey and says: “I’m so looking forward to the challenge of being on stage in Mothers of the Brides. I was delighted when i was offered the part and knew that I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to try something new and to tour with two other fabulous ladies. After all, you only live once! I love comedy and making people laugh, so this is the perfect opportunity to do just that!”

Helen continues: “ I’m thrilled to be doing Mothers of the Bride, as a HUGE Traitors fan I’m really looking forward to working with Diane and going on tour with the outrageously funny Julie Coombe sounds like a blast!”
Julie Coombe is one half of the writing duo behind the show and makes up the trio of Mothers playing Trisha. Julie, who may be best known for appearing in BBC’s River City as Terri the ‘tart with no heart’ , has enjoyed an incredibly varied career. With a huge number of pantomimes to her name, she has performed in Scottish classics like The Slab Boys Trilogy and The Steamie. She wowed audiences with her outrageous performance in The Vagina Monologues which led to the creation of her hit comedy sketch show Hormonal Housewives, a juggernaut which has seen six UK tours, all of which Julie has led. Recently she created the role of Hilda in Lena a smash hit at 2023 Edinburgh festival. As a writer Julie has penned comedies for the BBC including On The Couch and the sitcom PTA.
Julie adds: “We wanted to do a show about a milestone life event that people would relate to. As you move up to that next stage you don’t become any less fun. Your pals still have your back & there’s still plenty of daftness & laughs. We wanted to reinforce that women don’t disappear. Bolder not older and unashamedly funny!
I’m looking forward to being back on tour with a couple of brilliant women & I’m so excited for the audiences; to reacquaint with some old friends and make lots of new ones. “
