The Limit

6 – 10 March

The Limit VAULT Festival

Sophie Germain. Mathematician. Trailblazer. Woman. Neglected by history. Until now.
The extraordinary true story of a forgotten genius explodes onto the stage in the premiere of this new musical.

Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the team behind Edinburgh Fringe sell-out PART A bring Sophie’s story to life through an ebullient pop-rock score, charting the highs and lows of a woman determined to succeed in a system not built to allow it.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day and British Science Week, The Limit celebrates one woman in science who can inspire anyone today.

Bobby & Amy

6 – 10 March

Bobby Amy VAULT Festival

A new dark comedy by Fringe First Award winner Emily Jenkins.

It’s the late nineties, Take That, Tamagotchis, Dib Dabs, and PogSwaps. When 13 year old Bobby and Amy meet, hundreds of cows dot across the fields and the sun always shines. But when the cows begin to burn, Bobby and Amy’s sleepy Cotswold town faces a catastrophe that will change their home forever.

Set amongst the devastation that hit farming communities in the late nineties; Bobby & Amy explores friendship, heartache, and what happens when our way of life is threatened by those who don’t understand it.

Notflix

Notflix VAULT Festival

Netflix combines the taste profiles of 98 million users to create a perfectly ideal viewing experience…
Notflix combines the taste profiles of a room full of theatre go-ers to create a brilliantly hilarious and completely improvised viewing experience – a full musical.

The all female cast of ‘Notflix’ (otherwise known as ‘Waiting For The Call Improv’) use audience suggestions of recently watched films to create a brand new, fully improvised, one-night-only musical inspired by one audience member’s idea and explanation. Every show is different but what remains is the same joy-filled, high camp, musical celebration of everything you wish a movie could be. Because everything is better as a musical!

Book Tickets

Pufferfish

6 – 10 March

Pufferfish VAULT Festival

Pufferfish is based on the real, but hard-to-believe story of Jeffrey Dahmer, who took the lives of 17 young men in the 1980s.

Digging past the bias and homophobia colouring the initial reporting, it explores the edges of our own loves, fears and desires. A glimpse into the darkness and the light inside one of the worlds most infamous serial-killers. Clashing together true crime, gentle comedy, brutal horror and old-fashioned romance.

This UK Premiere of Pufferfish comes to the VAULT Festival following a sell-out run at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam as one of the most lauded new plays of 2017/2018 and part of the National Dutch Theatre Festival.
