London Lifestyle Awards® founder Jason Gale comments, I am delighted by how voting has unfolded this year. It never ceases to amaze me how passionate Londoners are about the businesses and shows we celebrate across all our categories. We felt the need to extend the voting period by a week since the leaders in some categories were changing almost on an hourly basis. The Theatre Show of the Year category is one of our most hotly contested and eagerly anticipated, which I believe is a testament to the significance of our theatre scene in London and to the other businesses we recognise. I recall a time during the pandemic when theatres remained closed, while restaurants and bars could operate. However, without the pre- and posttheatre crowd, the atmosphere just wasn’t the same. Now that theatre has returned, so has that unique London ambiance.
A spokesperson for Theatre Show of the Year category sponsor The Theatre Café added, We are so excited to support Theatre in the West End after the tough few years that the industry has had. The Theatre Cafe has grown so much from its beginnings as a family ticketing business, and we are delighted to be seen as a key beacon within the theatre industry and are delighted to support these awards.
The London Lifestyle Awards® celebrate all the lifestyle sectors that make London amazing, including restaurants, bars and hotels, sport and fitness, cafés and coffee shops, hair and beauty, members’ clubs, and of course theatre. The London Lifestyle Awards® is an all-year round celebration of what this great global city has to offer. CEO Jason Gale created the awards in 2009, after an inspiring meeting and discussion with President Clinton about their shared love of London. Gale’s goal is for the Awards to celebrate London as an incredible city for culture and lifestyle, making it a great destination for tourists and an exciting place to live.
