Soho Theatre has announced the full cast for Welcome to Pemfort, a new play by Sarah Power that joins the venue’s Main House season of in‑house new writing.

The production follows Uma as she works to save a struggling countryside castle by staging a Living History event. Chainmail, sword fighting and village secrets collide as a newcomer unsettles the fragile calm.

Sean Delaney will play Kurtis, with Debra Gillett as Uma. Ali Hadji-Heshmati appears as Glenn and Lydia Larson as Ria.

Written by Sarah Power and directed by Ed Madden, Welcome to Pemfort runs in Soho Theatre’s Main House from Friday 13 March to Saturday 18 April. Press night is Wednesday 18 March.

The creative team includes Set and Costume Designer Alys Whitehead, Associate Designer Victoria Maytom, Lighting Designer Cheng Keng and Sound Designer Max Pappenheim. The production team also features Tom Davis-Coleman, Florence McGlynn, Becky Paris, Georgina Makhubele, Enric Ortuño, Lisa Cochrane, Abi Morris and Charlotte Smith-Barker.

Part of a season of new writing at Soho Theatre, the play sits alongside work including Little Brother, Most Favoured, The Virgins and Tender.

Uma is determined to bring Pemfort’s first Living History event to life. Glenn’s preparing his sword skills, Ria has befriended a deer, and newcomer Kurtis appears to be settling in. But in a tight-knit village, nothing stays buried for long.
