Star or TV & Theatre, Wendi Peters has been announced in the line up of West End women in Serenade London’s For The Love Of Girls on Friday 15th June. A concert celebrating the work of female composers and lyricists in theatre, featuring the work of composers and lyricists including Jeanine Tesori, Betty Comden, Victoria Wood, Lynn Ahrens and Carole King.  An all female band will be accompanying the singers.

Also joining the cast is Lauren Chia (Aladdin) and previously announced Alex Young (Follies), Laura Tebbutt (Into The Woods), Samantha Dorsey (Les Miserables), Alexandra J Burns (The Girls), Charlie-Jade Jones (Parade), Nikita Johal (Spring Awakening), Rebecca Gilliland (The Hired Man) and Kate Marlais (War Horse).

For The Love Of Girls is for the benefit of Plan International UK’s Girls Fund which supports long-term projects to empower girls at risk of harmful practices like child marriage, female genital mutilation and violence. From raising awareness of the real dangers of child marriage and FGM, to training teachers and providing school books so girls can stay in school, the fund helps to change young girls’ lives.”
