Wildworks has announced the full cast and creative team for its upcoming production of The Kneebone Cadillac, a new comedy-drama set against the backdrop of Cornwall’s last working stock car racing track.
Directed and choreographed by Kyla Goodey, the production will run at United Downs Raceway from 10 July to 29 July 2026, with press night on 10 July.
The cast includes Ben Dyson, Millie Faraway, Ed Gaughan, Carl Grose, Pat Moran, Josh Penrose and Mary Woodvine.
Written by Carl Grose, The Kneebone Cadillac follows the fractious Kneebone family, whose world is thrown into chaos when their father leaves his prized 1958 Cadillac Eldorado to his daughter Maddy instead of his sons.
Determined not to sell the potentially Elvis-owned relic, Maddy sets her sights on restoring the vehicle and competing in the United Downs Boneshaker stock car race, challenging a male-dominated world in the process.
As old feuds resurface, her ambitions threaten to send the community hurtling towards disaster.
Set in a gritty post-industrial landscape, the production explores a side of Cornwall far removed from postcard clichés, brought to life through Grose’s distinctive Cornish dialogue and a cast of eccentric characters.
For Grose, the setting holds personal significance, inspired by visits to the raceway during his childhood.
The creative team includes designer Amy Pitt, composer and musical director Dom Coyote, associate musical director Pat Moran, lighting designer Sam Barrett and sound designers Nathan May and Ciaran Clarke.
Known for its large-scale landscape productions, Wildworks continues its commitment to creating site-specific theatre rooted in Cornwall while reaching national and international audiences.
The company has also introduced radical ticket pricing for The Kneebone Cadillac, with tickets available from as little as £1, aiming to make theatre more accessible to wider audiences.
