The Young Vic has revealed the final four productions completing Artistic Director and CEO Nadia Fall’s 2026/27 season, rounding out a programme that spans documentary theatre, dark satire, immersive experiences and physical theatre.
Among the newly announced productions is the UK premiere of The Pelicot Trial, created by Milo Rau and Servane Dècle. Staged at The Chamber at London County Hall, home of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution, the one-night event draws on testimonies, court documents and reports from the landmark trial that followed Gisèle Pelicot’s case. Performed by a company of 30 actors and public figures, the production explores the prevalence of sexual violence and its treatment within the legal system.
Former Royal Ballet Principal Edward Watson and international performance artist Meow Meow will star in A Hunger Artist, a reimagining of Franz Kafka’s short story created by Arthur Pita, Meow Meow, Frank Moon and Watson. The immersive production combines dance, music, song and theatre in a meditation on obsession, sacrifice and perfection.
Award-winning disability-led theatre company FlawBored will present the London premiere of What’s the F**king Point?, a new satire written by Samuel Brewer, Aarian Mehrabani, Chloe Palmer and Josh Roche, who also directs. The production examines medical bureaucracy, identity politics and modern society’s desire for significance.
Meanwhile, DARKFIELD brings its immersive audio experience Eulogy to the Young Vic. Performed in complete darkness within a shipping container outside the theatre, the production uses binaural sound and speech recognition technology to transport audiences through a dreamlike hotel environment.
The announcement also includes further casting for previously revealed productions. Lashana Lynch will lead the world premiere of debbie tucker green’s new play dissent, while Deanna H. Choi and Glyn Pritchard join Ben Whishaw and Kathryn Hunter in Eurotrash, Colin Teevan’s adaptation of Christian Kracht’s acclaimed novel.
Alongside the season announcement, the Young Vic has launched The Directors’ Cut, a new talent development programme designed to support directors at all stages of their careers through training, mentoring, international exchanges and assistant director opportunities.
The theatre has also expanded its Taking Part programme with the introduction of Young Vic Young Company, Young Vic Young Technicians and Young Vic Young Disruptors, aimed at creating new pathways into the industry for young people aged 18 to 25.

Milo Rau’s extraordinary testimonial piece The Pelicot Trial breaks out beyond our theatre walls to County Hall; a piece of confronting event-theatre which bears witness to the harrowing story of Gisèle Pelicot. We also join forces with the ever-innovative DARKFIELD to present their binaural piece Eulogy which is conjured up in the pitch darkness of a shipping container parked outside The Young Vic. Meanwhile in our Maria Studio we have What’s the F**king Point a new satire by the mischievous and subversive FlawBored theatre company, and A Hunger Artist which brings the latest collaboration between choreographer Arthur Pita, prolific dancer Ed Watson and Australian cabaret star Meow Meow in this physical retelling of Kafka’s twisted tale. Nothing about these pieces are ‘meat and two veg’ trad-theatre!”
Booking for dissent, Gem of the Ocean, What’s The F**king Point?, Eulogy and A Hunger Artist opens from 1 October for priority members, with general sale from 7 October. Booking for The Pelicot Trial also opens on 7 October.
