The Almeida Theatre has announced the full cast for A Doll’s House, with Romola Garai leading the company as Nora. She is joined by James Corrigan, Olivier Huband, Tom Mothersdale and Thalissa Teixeira in this new version of Henrik Ibsen’s landmark play by Critics’ Circle Award winner Anya Reiss.

Directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, the production explores the pressures, secrets and shifting power dynamics within a marriage. It runs from Tuesday 31 March to Saturday 16 May 2026, with press night on Wednesday 8 April at 7pm.

The creative team includes set designer Hyemi Shin, costume designer Alex Lowde, lighting designer Lee Curran, sound designer Gareth Fry, movement director Jenny Ogilvie, casting director Amy Ball CDG and assistant director Phillippe Cato.

Described as a subversive domestic tragedy, the play examines the lies and compromises that hold a relationship together. Nora and Torvald’s marriage is tested when scandal threatens to overturn their carefully maintained life.

Romola Garai returns to the Almeida following her Olivier Award-winning performance in The Years. The production is supported by Dianne Roberts and The Charlotte Aitken Trust.
