Gigglemug Theatre has announced the full cast for its hit production A Jaffa Cake Musical, returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer for its final ever performances.

Inspired by the infamous 1991 tribunal that debated whether a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit, this family-friendly musical comedy promises to settle the debate once and for all.

Performances will run from 30 July to 25 August 2025 (excluding 12 August) at Pleasance Courtyard, with preview shows on 24 and 25 July at The Mission Theatre in Bath.

Returning to the cast are Sam Cochrane as Kevin, Sabrina Messer as Katherine, and Alex Prescot as the Judge. Also reprising their roles are Katie Pritchard as the Tax Man and Harry Miller as Jake.

Joining the ensemble are Toby De Salis (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Emily Kitchingham (Scouts! The Musical), and Alexander Jude, who will appear in the Bath previews.

The production is directed by Ali James, known for her work with Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and Mischief Theatre. Musical direction and arrangements are by Rob Gathercole of Faking Bad.

“The show went down a storm at last year’s Fringe, selling out its entire run and receiving over thirty 4 & 5 star reviews!” said the company.

Gigglemug Theatre is known for its brand-based musical comedies, including Timpson: The Musical, RuneSical, and Scouts! The Musical, which was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award and will tour the UK this June.
