Cahoots Theatre Company will present Soho Songs, a new song cycle celebrating London’s legendary Soho district, at Wilton’s Music Hall for two nights only on 23 and 24 October 2026.
Created by cabaret performer Barb Jungr and jazz musician Mike Lindup of Level 42, Soho Songs combines Lindup’s original compositions with lyrics written and performed by Jungr.
The production marks the first time in many years that Jungr has performed a show built entirely around her own words, revisiting the spirit, characters and stories of a Soho that has gradually disappeared through time and redevelopment.
Described as a celebration of one of London’s most storied neighbourhoods, the work evokes a world that was “sparkling and shady, glamorous and gritty, cultured and crude”.
Jungr will be joined on stage by pianist Michael Roulston and bassist Davide Mantovani.
Roulston is a long-time collaborator with Fascinating Aïda and an award-winning accompanist, while Mantovani has enjoyed an extensive career across jazz, world and pop music, performing with artists including Lisa Stansfield and Baaba Maal.
The production is directed by Denise Silvey and designed by Steve Ullathorne.
Soho Songs is described as “a night of music for a neighbourhood that no longer exists, and for everyone who misses it.”
Performances will take place at Wilton’s Music Hall on Friday 23 October at 7.30pm and Saturday 24 October at 2.30pm and 7pm.
