Producers have announced the release of the full concept album for the new musical Beautiful Little Fool, ahead of its world premiere at Southwark Playhouse Borough in January 2026.
Recorded in New York, the album features Broadway stars Jessie Mueller, Ryan Vasquez and Hannah Corneau, and is now available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify and Amazon Music.
A new music video for One Night in July, performed by Mueller, Vasquez and Corneau, has also been released and can be viewed here. The first single, So Alive, sung by Jessie Mueller, is also streaming now.
Beautiful Little Fool will premiere at Southwark Playhouse Borough from Thursday 15 January to Saturday 28 February 2026, with a national press night on Thursday 22 January.
With music and lyrics by Hannah Corneau and a book by Mona Mansour, the musical is directed by Michael Greif. It tells the story of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald through the eyes of their daughter Scottie, as she rediscovers the lives and writings of her brilliant and tempestuous parents.
Producer Mark Cortale said, “The concept album gives audiences a first full listen to Hannah’s remarkable score, and we could not be more excited to share it today and to bring the show to life on stage at Southwark Playhouse in the new year.”
The London cast includes Lauren Ward (Matilda, Dear Evan Hansen, Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Scottie, Hannah Corneau (Wicked, Renascence, Frozen) as Zelda, David Austin-Barnes (Book of Mormon, US tour), Amy Parker (13 Going on 30, Ride), and Jasmine Hackett (Muriel’s Wedding, Toys the Musical).
The creative team features orchestrations by Adam Rothenberg, musical direction by Jerome van den Berghe, set design by Shankho Chaudhuri, costume design by Laura Hopkins, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Dominic Bilkey.
The album was recorded at Renaissance Recording, with engineering and mixing by Ian Kagey and mastering by Oscar Zambrano. The band includes Adam Rothenberg (piano), Ethan Pakchar (guitar), Yuka Tadano (bass), and Joshua Roberts (drums). It is produced by Mark Cortale, Ross Baum and Hannah Corneau.
