The Olivier Award winning Brainiac Live will return to the West End this summer, playing a limited season at the Garrick Theatre from 26 July to 30 August 2026. The production follows its 2025 Olivier Award win for Best Family Show.

The original science‑driven stage spectacle promises more mischief than ever, bringing explosive experiments and high‑energy demonstrations to London audiences.

Audiences can expect liquid nitrogen clouds, vortex smoke rings, exploding hydrogen balloons and spinning CO₂ chairs as the Brainiacs dive into the wildest corners of science.

The show, based on the popular Sky One series, has toured internationally since its 2008 debut, playing venues including Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong, Brisbane, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Barcelona and Expo 2020 Dubai. A recent English and Arabic dual‑language production was also staged in Saudi Arabia.

The 2026 West End company will be announced soon. The show is produced by Dan Colman, with Andy Joyce as Creative Director and Damian Stanton as Designer.

Dan Colman says: “We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing Brainiac Live back to the West End following its Olivier Award win last year. The show has always been about inspiring curiosity and excitement about science in the most entertaining way possible, and there’s no better place to share that energy with families than in the heart of London this summer.”

Ahead of the West End run, the show will tour the UK, visiting multiple venues including Wolverhampton Grand, The Hafren Newtown, Hull New Theatre, Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, Watford Palace Theatre, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Mayflower Studios Southampton, Bristol Old Vic, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Theatre Royal Brighton, Grand Opera House York, Queens Theatre Barnstaple, Chelmsford Theatre, Lighthouse Poole, St Georges Hall Bradford and New Theatre Peterborough, with more dates to come.

Brainiac Live will also appear at Butlins resorts in Minehead, Skegness and Bognor Regis across the Easter and summer holiday seasons, as well as May and October half terms throughout 2026.
