Camden Fringe returns for its 20th anniversary with a bumper programme of more than 400 shows, running from 28 July to 24 August 2025.
Spanning four weeks and 40 venues across London, the festival will showcase a vibrant mix of theatre, comedy, dance, music, magic, and more.
This year’s venues include the Etcetera Theatre, Hen & Chickens, Camden People’s Theatre, The Bill Murray, the newly opened Libra Theatre Café, and The Old Red Lion, which will host its own mini-festival, Shakefest.
The programme ranges from the serious — such as Bloody, Bloody Kansas at Hen & Chickens Theatre — to the absurd, with ELON MUSK: Lost in Space at Theatro Technis.
Musical highlights include The Marriage of Figaro, The Canterville Ghost: The Musical, and LISA! The Mona Lisa Musical, while comedy fans can look forward to NEPO, BABY! and Lust In Translation.
Camden Fringe offers an affordable alternative to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, giving performers a platform to test new material and ideas in a supportive environment.
“We’re proud that The Camden Fringe provides a platform and advice for new companies to experiment and get their ideas up and running and in front of an audience,” said co-founder Zena Barrie. “We can’t quite believe the two of us have been doing this for 20 years!”
Week 1 highlights include I’m Fine, It’s Just the Wine at Etcetera Theatre, Women in War at Camden People’s Theatre, and The Musical Medea at Upstairs at the Gatehouse.
In Week 2, audiences can catch MISS at Lion & Unicorn Theatre, Paul F Taylor: Off The Paul at Camden Comedy Club, and Magic & Sex at Rosemary Branch Theatre.
Week 3 features Please Shoot the Messenger at The Hope Theatre, Dirty Laundry at Etcetera Theatre, and To Mars at Bridewell Theatre.
Week 4 wraps up with Escape for Dummies at The Courtyard Theatre, KORE at The Cockpit, and Waiting for U-N-I at The Libra Theatre Café.
