Talawa Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for the UK tour of Fragments of Us, which will run from Saturday 9 May to Monday 31 August 2026.

Following a successful premiere at Greenwich+Docklands International Festival in 2025, the production returns in an expanded form, touring outdoor spaces across the UK.

Developed as part of Talawa’s 40th anniversary programme Talawa 86:26, Fragments of Us foregrounds Black male experiences through physical movement and personal storytelling.

The cast includes Talawa alumnus Mateus Daniels and multidisciplinary artist Jerome Scott, who join returning performers Seyi Falas, Eliezer Gore and Isaac Ouro-Gnao, alongside swing performer Jerone Marsh-Reid.

Blending African dance styles with contemporary hip hop, the production invites audiences to share fragments of joy, struggle and lived experience through movement, spoken word and music.

Fragments of Us is a collaboration between Talawa, Black British contemporary dance company FUBUNATION, and theatre and live art practitioner Sonia Hughes.

Lead artists Waddah Sinada and Rhys Dennis are joined by set and costume designer Nicky Bunch and composer Mwen, whose work has been broadcast on BBC Radio 1.

The wider creative team includes touring stage manager Gúa Ástudóttir, creative access consultant Evie Ayers-Townshend and senior creative producer Samantha Nurse.

Artistic Director and Joint CEO of Talawa, Michael Buffong, said: “Fragments of Us is a beautiful and strangely moving exploration of memory, belonging, and the stories we inherit. Through movement, spoken word and music it pieces together the moments that shape who we are — and who we are still becoming.”

The tour will visit Norfolk and Norwich Festival, Brighton Festival, Stockton International Riverside Festival and Birmingham Weekender.
