Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the full cast and creative team for A World Elsewhere, a brand new family production running at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 25 July to 30 August 2026.
Directed by Lucy Cuthbertson and co-written by Kerry Frampton and Ben Hales of Splendid Productions, the show follows the Olivier Award-nominated success of Rough Magic and promises an imaginative introduction to theatre for younger audiences.
The cast will include Kerry Frampton as Sarah, Zweyla Mitchell Dos Santos, Kyle Ndukuba as Cass, Tanvi Virmani as Cobweb and Zachary Willis as Big Guy.
Inspired by Shakespeare, A World Elsewhere explores the imagination of an 11-year-old boy and the characters he creates to make sense of the world around him.
Director Lucy Cuthbertson said: “I’m very excited to invite audiences into our third, new summer family show A World Elsewhere, in co-production again with the genius team Splendid Productions. Enter the imagine-nation of an 11-yearold boy, Cass, meet the imaginary friends he has created to make sense of life and share what happens when the outside world threatens this creativity. We are as excited by the characters as the brilliant cast who will be playing them. Inspired by Shakespeare, we aim to make the perfect, interactive, joyous introduction to theatre for younger audiences. And it’s very much for adults too. It’s genuinely a show for everyone.”
The creative team includes designer Rose Revitt, with Ben Hales also serving as composer, and casting by Alice Walters.
The production continues Shakespeare’s Globe’s commitment to creating accessible and engaging theatre for audiences of all ages, bringing new stories inspired by Shakespeare to life in its intimate indoor venue.
