3 hearts canvas and Izzy Carney have announced the cast for Jessica Norman’s debut full-length play This Little Earth, opening at Arcola Theatre, Studio 2 this October.

Directed by Imy Wyatt Corner, the production will star Fanta Barrie and Ross O’Donnellan. Previews begin on 22 October, with press night on 24 October, and the run continues until 15 November.

Jessica Norman said, “I’m beyond excited to have Fanta Barrie and Ross O’Donnellan joining the team. They are two bold, brilliant actors whose work I’ve admired from afar, and I can’t wait to see them bring Honey and Christopher to life. This Little Earth is a play for our post-truth age — an unconventional love story and gripping tale of adventure. I know that these two fantastic performers will take us right to the edge.”

This Little Earth follows two Flat-Earthers on a surreal journey to Antarctica in search of the edge of the world. When Honey’s sister dies, she is left with a yearning for the South Pole and endless questions. Christopher believes the truth is out there, hidden by those in power.

Set in the most inhospitable place on Earth, their unconventional love story becomes a fever dream. But will they survive discovering what really lies at the ends of the Earth?

The play was longlisted for The Women’s Prize for Playwriting and shortlisted for the Originals Playwriting Award. It explores the perils of a world where ‘truth’ has been co-opted by powerful liars.

Fanta Barrie plays Honey. Her credits include The Ministry of Lesbian Affairs (Kiln Theatre), The Lovely Bones (UK Tour), and The Amber Trap (Theatre503). On screen, she has appeared in My Lady Jane and Mrs. Sidhu Investigates.

Ross O’Donnellan plays Christopher. His stage credits include The Beacon (Everyman Cork), Julius Caesar (Bristol Old Vic), and Our Town (Circomedia). His film work includes Belfast.

Imy Wyatt Corner directs. She returns to Arcola Theatre following Duck and The Last One. Her other credits include BEASTS (Edinburgh Fringe), Passing (Park Theatre), and Happy Yet? (International Theatre Frankfurt). She is the recipient of the 2025/6 Nicole Kidman Bursary from MGCfutures.

The creative team also includes Cat Fuller (Set and Costume Design), Hugo Dodsworth (Light and Projection Design), Jamie Lu (Sound Design), and Hamza Ali (Movement Direction).
