This Christmas, National Trust property East Riddlesden Hall will be transformed into a festive wonderland for the premiere of Cinderella: An Immersive Pantomime Experience.
Presented by Electric Press Productions, the new immersive show will run from 4 to 23 December 2026, inviting audiences to journey through the historic 17th century house and grounds as the classic fairytale unfolds around them.
Created by award-nominated duo Samantha Creswick and Emily Susanne Lloyd, and written by Calum Finlay, the production combines live music, larger-than-life characters and interactive storytelling in a site-specific experience designed especially for the venue.
Following the success of their previous immersive production, A Christmas Carol, Electric Press Productions returns with a fresh take on another beloved story.
In this reimagined version of Cinderella, a young woman dreaming of freedom from life with her stepfamily captures the attention of Prince Max when he hears her sing at the village Yuletide Fayre. However, when midnight arrives, this Cinderella refuses the traditional ending and instead encourages the Prince to choose music, freedom and adventure over royal expectation.
Director Emily Susanne Lloyd said, “When we started talking about what could follow A Christmas Carol, we knew we wanted to create a pantomime, but we wanted to do it in a way that felt unique to Electric Press. Rather than asking audiences to come into a theatre, we’re inviting them to step inside the story itself. East Riddlesden Hall felt like the perfect setting. Audiences will journey through the site, discovering characters, music and magic around every corner. At the heart of our Cinderella is a story about finding your own voice and choosing your own path. We hope families leave having shared a truly magical experience together and created memories that last long after Christmas has passed.”

Suitable for audiences aged five and above, the 80-minute production promises a festive family adventure that reimagines one of the world’s best-loved fairytales.
