The Clapham Fringe x Two Brewers

The Bread and Roses Theatre, Clapham, today announces the expansion of its annual Clapham Fringe Festival to include a hugely exciting new venue, an iconic South London institution – from today, the Two Brewers on Clapham High Street becomes the second venue available for artists during the Clapham Fringe.

Known in the industry as ‘South London’s most famous cabaret venue,’ Two Brewers Clapham holds the title proudly and invites you to come and see a show. There’s table and VIP bookings on request, with fantastic drinks deals, a quiz, karaoke, cabaret all week every week, DJs, drag acts and a late license.

As one part of a planned multi-venue expansion for 2023, Festival Artistic Director Velenzia Spearpoint, Managing Director Rebecca Pryle and Associate Producer Alexander Knott are thrilled to welcome this iconic venue to the much-loved fringe festival.

Managed by the acclaimed Bread and Roses Theatre, the Clapham Fringe Festival offers many ways for emerging creatives to take to the page or stage. Theatre-makers are offered rich and challenging writing opportunities to involve in and box office split deals with no hidden fees. Thereby providing audiences with a constantly increasing diversity of perspectives, voices and creative approaches.

Located within walking distance of several Underground and Overground stations in London Travel Zone 2 (Clapham North, Clapham Common, Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road) as well as major bus routes, both the theatre and Two Brewers sit in a brilliant location.

We are beyond thrilled to be working with the Two Brewers and are so excited to showcase the best artists that South London and beyond has to offer. This is stage one of a larger expansion, so keep your eyes peeled for our future plans for 2023.”

The Clapham Fringe Festival 2023 runs from 21 September to 15 October, and applications are open until 9 July 2023.
