Bigger, bolder, and funnier than ever, the search is on for 2025’s ultimate bingo comedy host. Dabbers Social Bingo’s legendary competition returns to discover performers who can mix quick wit, dazzling stage presence, and top-tier bingo calling skills into an unforgettable show.

Dabbers has always placed entertainment at the heart of bingo, with stellar hosts and electrifying performances making each event unforgettable. Book now for the Dabbers Bingo Comedy Caller Contest to experience the very best of the modern bingo revolution and discover future stars of comedy and cabaret. The hilarious, wild, one-of-a-kind contest will be hosted by Sikisa Bostwick (Live at the Apollo, Stand Up Sketch Show).

The competition kicks off in April at Dabbers HQ (Houndsditch, EC3, just a 4-minute walk from Aldgate Tube) with the Grand Final in July, where the nation’s top new comedy callers will battle for the title. Tickets are available from just £10, which includes a ‘Jungle is Massive’ Malibu cocktail.

Dabbers’ Managing Director, Jonny Unknown, explains the evolution of the contest: “Over the years, we’ve discovered incredible talent through this competition—comedians, drag stars, and larger-than-life hosts who bring something fresh to the stage. Past winners and contestants have gone on to make waves in the comedy and cabaret worlds. I’m always keen to see where we can take the Dabbers & the bingo format to next and what new ideas can spin it all over again.”

It’s also not too late to apply to take part in the competition, and there’s absolutely no previous experience required. Applications are now open until the end of March 2025 at Dabbers Bingo.

Entrants will follow in the footsteps of Viggo Venn (Britain’s Got Talent), Kate Butch (Drag Race UK), Dan Teirnan (BBC New Comedy Award), and Lorna Rose Treen (Chortle Award winner), sharing their best Bingo lingo and finding out if they have what it takes to be crowned 2025’s funniest new Bingo Caller.

The winner will take away a £1,000 cash prize, the chance to perform at one of the UK’s major summer festivals, and guaranteed work at Dabbers Social Bingo. Fusing comedy, hosting, and bingo calling, the competition attracts stand-ups, drag artists, cabaret performers, and quirky characters from across the UK. With a judging panel including agents and festival bookers, the competition has proven itself as a career-changing opportunity for new talent.
