Awkward Prods’ royal satire Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story is set to return to London and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in summer 2026, following continued demand and a sold-out run in New York earlier this year.
The multiple award-winning show will play at Arcola Theatre from 6 to 11 July, before transferring to Underbelly George Square for the final week of the Edinburgh Fringe from 24 to 30 August.
Originally debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story quickly became a cult hit for its audience participation and camp reimagining of the royal family, earning both an OffFest Award for Best Play and the LAURA Award.
Written and directed by Linus Karp, who also stars as Diana, the production has since toured the UK four times, enjoyed sell-out runs in London and New York, and embarked on a world tour across four continents.
Told by Diana from heaven, the show uses comedy to explore her ground-breaking social and queer legacy, allowing her to finally tell her own untrue version of events.
The production also features special multimedia appearances from performers including Geri Allen, Zina Badran, Jeanna de Waal and Rob Madge.
Linus Karp said: “I am Di-lighted that people love Diana and this show as much as I do. Looking forward to a diconic summer at Arcola and Underbelly.”
Awkward Prods was founded by Linus Karp and Joseph Martin, and is known for genre-mixing comedy, niche pop culture references and immersive audience experiences.
