The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh and Melting Pot have announced an extended run for One Day: The Musical following phenomenal demand. The brand-new stage adaptation will now run until 19 April 2026, adding two weeks to its original schedule.
Based on David Nicholls’ global bestselling novel, the musical will premiere in Edinburgh, the city where Emma and Dexter first meet, and forms part of The Lyceum’s 60th anniversary season. Performances begin on 27 February, with press night on 11 March.
Audiences will experience an immersive production with on-stage seating, written by former Lyceum Artistic Director David Greig, with music and lyrics by Abner and Amanda Ramirez of acclaimed US band Johnnyswim, and additional lyrics by Jeremy Sams. Direction comes from Tony and Olivier-nominated Max Webster.
The stellar cast features Olivier-nominated Jamie Muscato as Dexter and West End star Sharon Rose as Emma. Muscato’s credits include Moulin Rouge! and Les Misérables, while Rose is known for leading roles in Hamilton and Caroline, Or Change.
The creative team includes choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, musical supervisor Nigel Lilley, set and costume designer Rae Smith, lighting designer Bruno Poet, and sound designer Simon Baker.
Tickets for the extended run are now on sale via The Lyceum’s website, with demand remaining high for this eagerly awaited production.
