Following a sell out UK tour and a critically acclaimed Fringe debut, Eat the Rich (but maybe not me mates x) returns to Soho Theatre’s Main House this June. The new dates follow its successful January run and additional performances in Liverpool and Bristol.

Writer and performer Jade Franks said, “Buzzin to be coming back to the bigger space in the summer after our UK tour! It looks like I’ll be performing this play till the class war’s won.”

The show has been described as a “culture shock” by The New York Times and hailed as “the new Fleabag” by The Times. It has earned multiple five star reviews and received the Filipa Bragança Award and the Holden Street Theatres Award.

The comedy drama follows a working class Liverpudlian student who earns a place at Cambridge University and secretly takes a job as a cleaner to make ends meet. Inspired by her own experiences, Jade Franks depicts a double life shaped by ambition, shame and survival.

Presented by double Olivier Award nominated JFR Productions and directed by Tatenda Shamiso, the production explores class, privilege and the pressures of navigating a system built against you. It brings the spirit of Sex Education and Big Boys with the biting satire of Chewing Gum.
