Following its critically acclaimed debut at the Edinburgh Fringe and an upcoming January run at Soho Theatre, Eat the Rich (but maybe not me mates x) will tour to Liverpool Everyman from 16–18 April 2026 and Bristol Old Vic from 28 April–2 May 2026.

Hailed by The Times as “the new Fleabag” and winner of the Filipa Bragança Award for Best Solo Performance by a Female or Non-Binary Artist, the show also earned the Holden Street Theatres Award, securing a future run in Adelaide, Australia.

Written and performed by Jade Franks, this sharp, socially conscious comedy drama explores class, privilege, and the sacrifices we make to succeed in a system stacked against us. Inspired by Jade’s own experience, the story follows a working-class Liverpudlian student navigating Cambridge University while secretly working as a cleaner—a double life fraught with ambition, shame, and survival.

Produced by JFR Productions and directed by Tatenda Shamiso, Eat the Rich (but maybe not me mates x) has been developed with support from Boundless Theatre, The Royal Court, The Everyman Playhouse, The Unity Theatre, and The Seven Dials Playhouse. The creative team includes Claudia Casino (Set and Costume Design), Zoe Beeny (Lighting Design), Roly Botha (Composer and Sound Designer), Sean Ting-Hsuan Wang (Movement Director), and Ellie Fulcher (Dramaturg).

Jade Franks said:
“I wouldn’t be here without the support I got from the team at The Everyman while on the playwrights programme, and so it feels incredibly special to be performing in Liverpool next year. We are equally as excited to be taking the show to Bristol who have a brilliant, longstanding relationship with our director Tatenda.”
