Comedian Tony Law is a three-time Chortle Award winner, Amused Moose Best Show winner and Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee.

His extensive TV and radio credits include: Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Celebrity Squares (ITV), Heading Out (BBC Two), The Culture Show (BBC Two), Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe (BBC Two), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central), Zapped (Dave), Tony Law’s Surreal Guide To Surreal Comedy (Radio 4 Extra), Loose Ends and Infinite Monkey Cage (Radio 4).

Tony Law: Identifies is at Monkey Barrel 1st – 25th August (not 13th)

Tony Law: Identifies is coming to Monkey Barrel what can you tell us about it?

An arthouseish, absurdity fest, time travel rant with a heart of gold shining out of Brexit Britain’s glorious punk rock soul. Funny.

How does Tony Law: Identifies differ to other works you’ve written?

I wrote way way way more and then I threw it away and got this. More went into the mixer. A lovely pasty nutritious meat of comedy came out.

What’s the one thing about Tony Law: Identifies makes it different from all the rest?

It’s a Tony Law show. 16th show always attempting to push the stand up art form in different directions. Succeeding this year he (me) thinks. It’s always funny. Tony. If you want more from your stand up. How’s that pitch?

What’s the most challenging thing about performing in Tony Law: Identifies?

It’s all good. Nothing bad about it. I love it. Comedy nerds plus Tony every day equals the point of life.

How does it feel to be at Monkey Barrel?

Grrrrreat. They treat us real good them boys n gals. Good folk.

Why should people come see Tony Law: Identifies?

They shouldn’t. Unless they are comedy connoisseurs and are a bit off the wall. Slightly juddered. If you like surreal or different or just clown funny.
