Award-winning theatremaker Adam Lenson returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Is it too late now to say sorry?, a deeply personal solo show blending storytelling, music, memoir and journalistic insight. Presented at Summerhall, the production explores the complexities of apology, accountability and healing in the modern world.
Drawing on his own experiences, Lenson takes audiences on a journey through moments of regret, from childhood memories to social media missteps. Through a mixture of candid storytelling and original music, he critically examines both personal and collective approaches to saying sorry.
The show moves fluidly between humour and reflection, tackling themes of generational trauma, faith and cultural difference, alongside playful dissections of public apologies and celebrity culture. With a distinctive style that combines witty narrative with technological flair, Lenson invites audiences to confront their own relationship with apology and forgiveness.
Co-created with Hannah Moss and directed by Daniel Goldman, the piece builds on Lenson’s reputation for creating innovative, emotionally resonant theatre. It promises to be an honest and life-affirming experience that resonates long after the performance ends.
