Spin Cycle: The Lesbian Laundrette Play makes its Edinburgh Fringe debut with a witty and emotionally rich exploration of love, memory and identity. Set beneath the hum of washing machines, this two-hander unfolds in a liminal laundrette space where past and present collide.
When two ex-lovers meet again for the first time, their reconnection sparks a complex and revealing conversation. As memories resurface, long-buried truths are slowly uncovered, creating a portrait of a relationship shaped by time, distance and unresolved emotion.
Blending absurdist humour with heartfelt storytelling, the play explores themes of queer identity, Irish heritage and the complexities of modern relationships. Produced by Berserk Theatre, the production brings together a distinctly queer creative team to deliver a piece that balances sharp wit with emotional depth.
Directed by Bethan Rose, Spin Cycle captures the strange intimacy of shared spaces and fleeting encounters, offering a poignant reflection on how relationships evolve and endure.
Spin Cycle: The Lesbian Laundrette Play runs at Underbelly (Clover) from 5 – 31 August at 14:25. Tickets are on sale hereÂ
