A bold and visually spectacular new production, TALE OF THE FIREBIRD – Concerto for Violin, Fire & Acrobatic Orchestra reimagines classical music through a fusion of circus, physical theatre and live performance.

Created by The Freestyle Orchestra, this large-scale interdisciplinary show brings together twelve performers who are simultaneously virtuoso musicians and world-class acrobats. Combining live music with aerial performance, fire manipulation and contemporary dance, the production creates a fully integrated artistic experience.

Inspired by the myth of the Phoenix, the piece unfolds as a vivid, fairytale-like narrative exploring themes of resilience, renewal and hope. Composer Chloé Charody’s score is performed live as part of a dynamic physical performance, blurring the boundaries between sound and movement.

Each performer embodies a character within this imaginative world, contributing to a rich tapestry of storytelling that balances spectacle with emotional depth. The result is a unique theatrical event that transforms the concert format into something immersive and visually striking.

Marking the company’s Fringe debut, TALE OF THE FIREBIRD showcases an ambitious new approach to performance, celebrating the power of music, movement and collaboration.
