Welcome to Luke Rollason’s Planet Earth: a low-budget, one-man nature documentary from physical comedian Luke Rollason, who makes his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival @ the Monkey Barrel for the month of August. Set in a future where our worst predictions come true, Planet Earth imagines a world after an ecological disaster – with no rainforests, no polar ice caps, and in which thousands of endangered species are now extinct – including the BBC. But deep in the bowels of the abandoned beeb, one plucky (and unpaid) intern hasn’t got the memo – and he’s not giving up! He’s going to make the third series of David Attenborough’s Planet Earth all by himself – and right on programming schedule.
