Not Yet Suffragette Edinburgh Fringe

Not Yet Suffragette Edinburgh Fringe

Not Yet Suffragette is the debut solo show from Natalie Cutler, based on how ‘Not Far’ women have come since winning the vote a century ago. Do we really only have ourselves to blame, for ‘breaking the internet’ Kim K style? Or should Nigel Farage heed his own advice and ‘Go sit in a corner?’

“slick, powerful and triumphantly funny” ★★★★★ Sincerely, Amy for Not Yet Suffragette at the Brighton Fringe

Since a hit run at the Brighton Fringe in 2017, where the show was nominated for Best Show at the Fringe, Not Yet Suffragette has embarked on two sell out UK tours and Natalie Cutler was named of one of 8 comedians you must see in 2017.

The story begins on the front lines of WW1 with Flora Sands – the only British woman to have officially served as a solider in the first world war. It then moves through each decade, from the roaring 1920’s to the present day, documenting women’s struggles in each decade, as women juggle the stereotypes thrown at them by society with trying to make their own way in the world.

“The slick delivery of this production makes it hard to believe that this is Cutler’s first solo attempt at a show” Broadway Baby for Not Yet Suffragette at the Brighton Fringe

Playwright and performer Natalie Cutler comments, “I’m really excited to finally be bringing Not Yet Suffragette to the Edinburgh Fringe as part of Underbelly’s 2018 programming. Now I just need ya’ll to buy tickets so I can pay my mortgage and continue with my obsession of rescue dogs. See you on the frontline.”
