The Edinburgh Festival Fringe ‘must see’ show, internationally celebrated and critically acclaimed improvised musical comedy Showstopper! The Improvised Musical returns to the festival for an amazing 12th consecutive year.

After an incredible season last summer, with packed houses throughout the run, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical has established itself as a Fringe favourite and all-round phenomenon.

Following their Olivier Award-winning West End run at the Apollo Theatre and an eight week run at The Other Palace Theatre in Victoria earlier this year – which launched with their 1000th performance –  as well as an ongoing UK tour and monthly residency at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, The Showstoppers continue to create brand new musical comedies every single night inspired by audience suggestions.

This summer The Showstoppers will once again delight Edinburgh audiences at Pleasance Grand from 31st July – 25th August.

No two performances are ever the same as The Showstoppers take audience suggestions and spin a new musical out of thin air – stories, characters, tunes, lyrics, dances, harmonies and all – with hilarious results. If you’ve ever thought improv looked difficult, try doing it in time (and in tune) to music! The Showstoppers truly are the masters of musical theatre high-wire act.
