Artistic Director Jez Bond, Executive Director Catherine McKinney and the team at Park Theatre have announced the final wave of celebrity guest Sheriffs for Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 4.

The fundraising comedy spectacular returns to Park Theatre from 11 May to 27 June 2026, with its most ambitious and fully immersive version yet.

At every performance, a different celebrity steps into the central role of Sheriff entirely unrehearsed, guided only by lines fed through an earpiece moments before they speak.

Newly announced guest Sheriffs include Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Damian Lewis, Simon Pegg, Meera Syal and Jodie Whittaker.

They join Whodunnit debutants Anne-Marie Duff, Toby Jones, Tim McInnerny, Katherine Parkinson, Sara Pascoe, Iwan Rheon, Gaby Roslin, Gary Wilmot, Suzi Ruffell and Munya Chawawa.

Returning Whodunnit alumni also include Amanda Abbington, Clive Anderson, Gyles Brandreth, Michelle Collins, Nina Conti, David Haig, Harry Hill, Adam Hills, Russell Kane, Matt Lucas, Gareth Malone, Gabriel Macht, Al Murray, Dermot O’Leary, Tamzin Outhwaite, Clarke Peters, Rob Rinder, Rhashan Stone, Bradley Walsh, Olivia Williams, Marcus Brigstocke and Greg Wise.

Previously announced guest Sheriffs include Gillian Anderson, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Bonneville, Adrian Dunbar and Emma Thompson, with Ian McKellen also lending his voice to the chaos.

Set in the lawless Wild West town of Graveside, Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 4 will see Park Theatre transformed into an immersive world for the first time, taking over the entire building from the street outside to the bars, foyers and both auditoria.

The production is a vital fundraiser for Park Theatre, which receives no regular public subsidy, with proceeds supporting the running of the building, new work development and its community and education programmes.

Jez Bond, co-writer and director, and Park Theatre’s Artistic Director said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome these incredible new guest Sheriffs to Park Theatre; The generosity of the artists who agree to throw themselves into Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] — completely unrehearsed — never ceases to amaze me.

“We never announce which celebrity is performing on which night, because the surprise is part of the fun. Book a ticket and you’re guaranteed someone extraordinary — a national treasure, a comedy icon or a stage legend — stepping into the boots of the Sheriff and flying by the seat of their chaps.

“Every performance is different, gloriously unpredictable, and every single one helps support Park Theatre. It’s high-wire theatre with a serious purpose behind it — and that’s exactly what makes it so thrilling.”
