New production photography and footage have been released for the West End production of Hadestown, offering audiences a first look at the show’s recently announced cast at the Lyric Theatre.
The new images feature internationally renowned soprano Danielle de Niese as Persephone, acclaimed stage and screen actor Shaun Dooley as Hades, West End star Fayth Ifil as Eurydice, leading lady Malinda Parris as Hermes and singer-songwriter Nathan Sykes as Orpheus.
De Niese joins the production following a celebrated international opera career and an Olivier Award win earlier this year, while Dooley brings extensive television, film and stage experience to the role of Hades.
Ifil takes on the role of Eurydice after previous West End appearances in Tina – The Tina Turner Musical and Just For One Day, while Parris steps into the role of Hermes following acclaimed performances in productions including Hercules, & Juliet and The Light Princess.
Completing the principal cast is Nathan Sykes, best known as a member of chart-topping band The Wanted, who now takes on the role of Orpheus.
The cast is joined by Melanie Bright, Spike Maxwell and Lauran Rae as the Fates, alongside Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Gabriela Benedetti, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet as the Workers.
Since opening in the West End, Hadestown has become one of London’s most celebrated musicals, combining the mythic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone in a powerful tale of hope, sacrifice and resilience.
The Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical features music, lyrics and book by Anaïs Mitchell, and is developed with artistic collaborator and director Rachel Chavkin.
Producers have also announced a new booking period, with tickets going on sale from 12 noon on 25 September 2026 for performances running until 12 December 2027, with group bookings available through to 13 February 2028.
Currently playing at the Lyric Theatre, Hadestown continues to attract audiences with its distinctive blend of folk, blues, jazz and contemporary musical theatre storytelling.
