Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has unveiled first look image of the cast for the UK premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Shucked.

Running from 10 May to 14 June 2025, Shucked brings its Broadway charm to London, directed by Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien.

The cast includes Monique Ashe-Palmer as Storyteller 1, Ben Joyce as Beau, Sophie McShera as Maizy, Georgina Onuorah as Lulu, Keith Ramsay as Peanut, Matthew Seadon-Young as Gordy, and Steven Webb as Storyteller 2.

Joining them are Jed Berry, Taila Halford, Ross Harmon, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Claudia Kariuki, Ying Ue Li, Tom Oliver, Gleanne Purcell-Brown, Nathaniel Purnell, Rachel Rawlinson, Mia Shelbourne, and Toyan Thomas-Browne.

Shucked features a book by Robert Horn and music and lyrics by Grammy Award winners Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.

The show follows Maizy and Beau as they prepare to marry—until the corn that sustains their community begins to die, prompting a journey beyond the borders of Cob County.

The musical includes standout numbers such as “Woman of the World,” “Somebody Will,” and “Independently Owned.”

“Shucked is just so damn funny the audience sits in a state of perpetual giggles,” said the New York Post.

Presented in association with Mike Bosner, Jason Owen, AEG Presents/Jay Marciano, and Michael Harrison, the production promises a five-week run of laughter and heart.
