Production photography has been released for the UK and Ireland tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi-award-winning musical Cats, following its opening at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 6 October.
Presented by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, the touring production is directed and choreographed by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Artistic Director Drew McOnie and follows a record-breaking summer season in London.
Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the musical brings the Jellicle tribe together beneath the moonlight as they await the annual choice that will determine who ascends to a new life. Featuring some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most celebrated songs, the score includes “Memory”, “Macavity: The Mystery Cat”, “Old Deuteronomy” and “The Jellicle Ball”.
The production stars Louise Dearman, Alice Fearn and Rachael Wooding, who share the iconic role of Grizabella throughout the tour. They are joined by a company that includes Fin Adams, Kalisha Amaris, Carla Bertran, Elliot Broadfoot, Grace Burrows, Matthew Caputo, Josie Chambers-Sims, Briana Craig, Katie Dunsden, Joshua-Samuel Freeman, Regan Garcia, Aaron Jenkins, Hannah Joseph, Taziva-Faye Katsande, Diante Lodge, Shona Mairi Masson, Owen McHugh, Danny Nattrass, Millie O’Connell, Andrew Parfit, Dean Rickards, Nathan Rigg, Lucie-Mae Sumner, Laura Tyrer, Jaydon Vijn, Jack Wilcox, Jet Yau, Taela Yeomans-Brown and Patricia Zhou.
The newly released images offer audiences a closer look at McOnie’s reimagined production, which opened to audiences in Plymouth before continuing across a major tour of the UK and Ireland through to June 2027.
Since its world premiere in 1981, Cats has become one of the most successful musicals in theatre history. The show has been seen by more than 77 million people worldwide, has been presented in over 54 countries and translated into 23 languages.

The tour visits venues including Hull, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, Liverpool and Newcastle, among many others across the UK and Ireland.
