First look production photos released for The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre

The Oresteia credit Johan Persson

London Theatre Company has released first look production images for The Oresteia, written and directed by Simon Stone after Aeschylus and others.

The production is currently in previews at the Bridge Theatre, with opening night scheduled for Tuesday 14 July, and will run until Saturday 19 September 2026.

Stone’s contemporary adaptation follows a modern family who wake up inside a Greek myth and find themselves unable to escape their hellish destiny.

The cast is led by two-time Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker as Montie and David Morrissey as Christopher, alongside Tom Glynn-Carney as Augie and Rosie Sheehy as Alice.

They are joined by Lloyd Hutchinson, John Macmillan, Archie Madekwe, Alyth Ross and Rakhee Thakrar, with understudies SeƔn Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters and Kirsty Yates completing the company.

Review: The Truth at Apollo Theatre

Stone is reunited with a creative team that includes set designer Lizzie Clachan, lighting designer Nick Schlieper, sound designer Peter Rice, costume designer Emma White, composer Katrina Rose and casting director Jessica Ronane CDG.

The production is presented by London Theatre Company in collaboration with Wouter van Ransbeek.
