Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the blockbuster film, The Devil Wears Prada The Musical follows aspiring journalist Andy Sachs as she lands a job at fashion magazine Runway, working under the demanding editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. As Andy becomes immersed in the high-pressure world of fashion, she must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice in pursuit of success.
The production features music by Elton John, with direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.
Since opening in the West End in December 2024, The Devil Wears Prada The Musical has become the fastest-selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history, selling more than 1.3 million tickets and recently celebrating its 800th performance.
A major part of the show’s appeal remains its fashion-forward design, with Tony Award-winning costume designer Gregg Barnes overseeing a wardrobe featuring hundreds of handmade pieces alongside garments from renowned designer labels including Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Balmain.
Produced by Kevin McCollum, David Furnish and Jamie Wilson in association with Theatre Royal Plymouth and Buena Vista Theatrical, the musical continues its successful West End run at the Dominion Theatre.
