Matt Miller and Peader Kirk’s acclaimed drag-infused theatre show Fixing will embark on a UK tour from February to April 2026. The production, performed by Matt Miller, delves into themes of family breakups, care, and repair, blending personal storytelling with social commentary.

When Matt was a child, their dad bought a classic 1952 Sunbeam Talbot Mark II, hoping they would restore it together. They never did. Now in their 30s, Matt wants to learn how to fix a car engine—and revisit the time when their parents split up. Enter Natalie Spanner, Matt’s drag alter-ego, who knows all about maintenance, care, and repair.

“At a time when connections in the world seem to be breaking down more than ever, Fixing seeks to initiate conversations around care, nurture, rupture and recovery,” says the creative team.

Premiering at Newcastle’s Alphabetti Theatre in 2024 and following a short run in Autumn 2025, Fixing marks Matt and Peader’s first venture into drag performance. Their work combines intimate stories with broader social questions, creating theatre that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

The Spring 2026 tour will visit venues including Storyhouse Chester, Arena Theatre Wolverhampton, Nottingham Playhouse, Alphabetti Theatre Newcastle, and The Lowry Salford, among others.
