Producers have announced the full cast for I’m Sorry, Prime Minister, the long-awaited final chapter of the iconic political satire, opening at the Apollo Theatre from 30 January to 9 May 2026. Press night will take place on Thursday 12 February at 7 pm.

Griff Rhys Jones returns to the West End as ex-Prime Minister Jim Hacker, alongside Clive Francis reprising his acclaimed role as Sir Humphrey Appleby. They are joined by William Chubb as Sir David and Stephanie Levi-John as Sophie, with Princess Donnough, Eliza Walters, Jeremy Rose, Robert Kitson and Dominic McChesney completing the cast.

Written and directed by BAFTA Award-winning Jonathan Lynn, co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, this new comedy is co-directed by Michael Gyngell. The production marks the first West End transfer for The Barn Theatre.

Brimming with razor-sharp wit and nostalgic brilliance, I’m Sorry, Prime Minister finds Jim Hacker hoping for a quiet retirement at Hacker College, Oxford, only to face a modern crisis: cancellation by the college committee. Enter Sir Humphrey Appleby, who has lost none of his love for bureaucracy and well-timed obstruction.

Can Humphrey and Jim out manoeuvre hostile students, Fellows, and reality itself? Or is it finally time to say, “I’m Sorry, Prime Minister…”?
