Rehearsal images have been released for I’m Sorry, Prime Minister, the final chapter of the evergreen comedy series Yes, Minister, which opens at the Apollo Theatre from 30 January 2026.

The production marks the first West End transfer for The Barn Theatre and will run until 9 May, with press night on 12 February. Tickets are on sale now from www.imsorryprimeminister.com, with early performances sold out and best availability from March.

Making his return to the West End, Griff Rhys Jones stars as ex-Prime Minister Jim Hacker alongside Clive Francis as Sir Humphrey Appleby. The cast also includes William Chubb as Sir David and Stephanie Levi-John as Sophie, with Princess Donnough, Eliza Walters, Jeremy Rose, Robert Kitson and Dominic McChesney completing the company.

Written and directed by BAFTA Award-winning Jonathan Lynn, and co-directed by Michael Gyngell, the play sees Hacker and Humphrey in their old age facing up to life in retirement. Hoping for a quiet life as Master of Hacker College, Oxford, Jim instead finds himself cancelled by the college committee, while Humphrey remains as devoted to bureaucracy and obstruction as ever.

Brimming with razor-sharp wit and nostalgic brilliance, I’m Sorry, Prime Minister asks whether the pair can out manoeuvre hostile students, Fellows, and reality itself — or if it’s finally time to say, “I’m Sorry, Prime Minister…”
