London Theatre Company has announced full casting and released rehearsal images for The Oresteia, written and directed by Simon Stone, ahead of its run at the Bridge Theatre this summer.
Previews begin on 2 July 2026, with an official opening night on 14 July, and performances continuing until 19 September.
Mary-Louise Parker and David Morrissey lead the cast as Montie and Christopher, joined by Tom Glynn-Carney as Augie and Rosie Sheehy as Alice.
They are joined by Lloyd Hutchinson as Melville, John Macmillan as Jerome, Archie Madekwe as Lorenzo, Alyth Ross as Jenny and Rakhee Thakrar as Chandra.
Understudies for the production are Seán Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters and Kirsty Yates.
Inspired by Aeschylus and other classical sources, The Oresteia reimagines the ancient Greek tragedy in a contemporary setting, following a modern family trapped within a seemingly inescapable mythic fate.
The creative team includes set designer Lizzie Clachan, composer Stefan Gregory, lighting designer Nick Schlieper, sound designer Peter Rice and costume designer Emma White.
Casting is by Jessica Ronane CDG, with associate direction from Benedict Crosby and production management by Jim Leaver.
The production is presented by London Theatre Company in collaboration with Wouter van Ransbeek.
