Lidless Theatre, Zoe Weldon and King’s Head Theatre have announced full casting for their upcoming revival of Philip Ridley’s The Pitchfork Disney.

Directed by Lidless Theatre’s Co-Artistic Director Max Harrison, the production stars Elizabeth Connick as Haley, Ned Costello as Presley, and William Robinson as Cosmo.

The Pitchfork Disney opens on 2 September 2025, with previews from 27 August, and runs until 4 October at King’s Head Theatre.

Ridley’s first professional stage play, The Pitchfork Disney premiered at the Bush Theatre in 1991 and is widely credited with launching the In-Yer-Face theatre movement.

This new production continues Lidless Theatre’s collaboration with Philip Ridley, following acclaimed stagings of Moonfleece and Tender Napalm.

Max Harrison said, “I’m totally thrilled to be working with such a talented and dynamic cast and creative team on The Pitchfork Disney. It’s a real privilege to be collaborating again with Philip Ridley and to continue Lidless Theatre’s relationship with one of our greatest living writers, on this era defining play.”

The cast features Elizabeth Connick, whose stage credits include Gun To Your Head, Girls with Wings, and The Jew. Ned Costello returns to Lidless Theatre following Leaves of Glass, and has also appeared in The History Boys and Britannicus. William Robinson, an Ian Charleson Award Finalist, has previously starred in Julius Caesar and Bacon.

The creative team includes Kit Hinchcliffe (Designer), Ben Jacobs (Lighting Designer), Sam Glossop (Sound Designer), James Quaife (General Manager), and Carrie Croft (Production Manager).

The Pitchfork Disney explores the lives of siblings Presley and Haley, who have lived in isolation since a traumatic event ten years earlier. When Presley invites a mysterious stranger into their home, their worst fears come to life.

Darkly comic and deeply unsettling, Ridley’s play remains a landmark of British drama, resonating with themes of fear, fantasy, and psychological tension.
