The full company has been announced for the West End transfer of the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of the Broadway musical Next to Normal. The production will begin its run at Wyndham’s Theatre on Tuesday, 18 June 2024, for a strictly limited 14-week season, with the press night scheduled for Wednesday, 26 June at 7 pm.

– Jack Wolfe as Gabe Goodman, nominated for the Emerging Talent category at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for his role in Next to Normal.

– Eleanor Worthington-Cox as Natalie Goodman, the youngest winner of an Olivier Award for Matilda The Musical.

– Trevor Dion Nicholas as Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine, with West End credits including the Genie in Aladdin and George Washington in Hamilton.

– Jack Ofrecio as Henry, with credits including The Merry Wives of Windsor at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Next to Normal, with music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, debuted on Broadway in 2010 to critical acclaim, winning three Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Ben Brantley of The New York Times called it “Brave and breathtaking… a feel-everything musical,” and Peter Marks of The Washington Post praised it as “a moving, blisteringly honest, and inordinately powerful new musical.”

Directed by outgoing Donmar Artistic Director Michael Longhurst, Next to Normal is a powerful rock musical that explores themes of family, illness, loss, and grief, centered on Diana Goodman, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder.

The creative team includes Musical Supervisor Nigel Lilley, Set and Costume Designer Chloe Lamford, Choreographer Ann Yee, Lighting Designer Lee Curran, Sound Designer Tony Gayle, Video Designer Tal Rosner, Orchestrators Michael Starobin and Tom Kitt, Musical Director Nick Barstow, and Vocal Arranger Annmarie Milazzo. The production is produced by David Stone, James L. Nederlander, John Gore, Ambassador Theatre Group, Aaron Glick, Pine Street Productions, P3 Productions, and Donmar Warehouse.
