Le Navet Bete and Olivier Award-nominated writer and director John Nicholson have announced an extension of their hit production Oh Zeus!, with the acclaimed comedy now continuing its UK tour into 2027.

The show, which takes audiences on a riotous journey through Greek mythology, follows Zeus as he attempts to sabotage the wedding of his daughter Hebe to a mortal after the stability of Olympus is thrown into question.

Performed by just three actors playing almost 40 characters, Oh Zeus! races through Ancient Greece, the Underworld and beyond in a fast-paced farce packed with physical comedy, outrageous humour and theatrical chaos.

The production features an astonishing 39 costumes and 84 costume changes, including 63 rapid quick changes, as the cast transform between gods, mortals and monsters throughout the performance.

Le Navet Bete, made up of Al Dunn, Nick Bunt and Matt Freeman, has built a reputation as one of the UK’s leading mid-scale theatre companies since its formation in 2008. Based in Exeter, the company is known for family hits including Dracula: The Bloody Truth, King Arthur and Treasure Island.

The 2026-27 tour will visit venues including Lowry Salford, The Dukes Lancaster, Lighthouse Poole, Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, New Vic Theatre Newcastle-under-Lyme, Mayflower Studios Southampton, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford, Salisbury Playhouse, Gulbenkian Arts Centre Canterbury, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Theatre by the Lake Keswick, Harrogate Theatre, Everyman Theatre Liverpool and Mercury Theatre Colchester.

Suitable for audiences aged 12 and over, the production will also feature special adults-only performances at selected venues. These performances will include additional adult humour, swearing and extra mischief while retaining the same core show.

Expecting to appeal to fans of Fawlty Towers, Bottom and The Play That Goes Wrong, Oh Zeus! combines mythology, mayhem and high-energy physical comedy in a theatrical adventure spanning the heavens, earth and the underworld.
